It was a gathering of important dignitaries in the diplomatic community in Nigeria when the #IbukunAndThePeople was premiered at the United Nations House in Abuja on Monday.
The wait is officially over! The red carpet is rolled up, but the movement has just begun.

#IbukunAndThePeople has officially premiered at the @UN_Nigeria House in Abuja! From diplomats and government officials to civil society leaders, media, and Nollywood royalty—the room was united by one clear message: It is time to have more women in parliament.
Through a gripping story of accountability and courage starring the incredible Ivie Okujaye, Uzee Usman and the legendary Ajoke Silva, this film is a mirror to our political reality and a loud call to #PassTheSpecialSeatsBill.

Produced by UN Women Nigeria with the support of UK in Nigeria and the Government of Canada, this project is more than a movie—it’s a blueprint for inclusive governance.
