Unknown gunmen have reportedly attacked the residence of a Kaduna-based journalist with Real Spotlight News, Bolarinwa Sherifat Osahon.
Real Points Report gathered that the gunmen invaded the residence of this woman journalist on Friday 9 December 2022, demanding that the neighbours should bring her out because they did not meet her and the husband at home situated at 7 Barde Street, Kudenden, Kaduna.
In the bid of searching for Bolarinwa, the gunmen entered into two flats within the compound thinking that she might have been hiding in any of them to take refuge.
Unknowingly to the gunmen, who were suspected to be bandits, Bolarinwa was away to Canada to attend the COP15 United Nations Convention on Biodiversity which was held in Montreal in December.
The Editor of Real Spotlight News, Njoku Kingsley Emeka told this newspaper in Lagos that the attack on Bolarinwa’s residence might not be unconnected with the news she has been writing on the activities of bandits and terrorists in Kaduna State.
“We believe that Bolarinwa Sherifat Osahon has been doing her job as an investigative journalist with Real Spotlight News, and we must commend her for upholding the truth about the situation of things in her reports. Unfortunately, these reports have not been going down well with these evil people whose main job is to terrorise innocent citizens of Kaduna State, and they want to be a law to themselves.
“The banditry and terrorism situations in Kaduna are getting out of hands to the extent that the security agents seem to be helpless in putting a stop to get the ungodly act of these evil people.
“We can only call on President Muhammadu Buhari to act swiftly to restore peace in the state,” Njoku said.
