A testimony recently given by an #ENDSARS co-ordinator, Serah Ibrahim, during one of the sittings of the Lagos State judicial panel on restitution for victims of SARS-related abuses has turned the life of one of the survivors into a nightmare, with the investigation now revealing that the military high command has ordered the arrest of one Lekan Sanusi, whose real name was discovered to be Samson Olalekan Kuyebi.
The #ENDSARS co-ordinator, Serah Ibrahim, while testifying during the sitting of the judicial panel, narrated how she recorded the shooting of innocent protesters at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos with her phone. She added that she saw that the shooting led to the death of some of the protesters.
According to Serah, one of the active protesters, Lekan Sanusi, was presumed to have died at the hands of a soldier who later dumped his body at the MRS Hospital at Bonny camp. Fortunately for Lekan, a nurse, who discovered he was still breathing and alive, helped him escape.
Real Points Report gathered from sources within the military in Lagos, who did not want their names in print because of the sensitive nature of the information, that after Serah’s testimony at the judicial panel, an order was given to the soldiers to search out and arrest Lekan Sanusi because it was believed that he knew more than what was supposed to be in the public.
“I can categorically tell you that we have been searching for that guy who narrowly escaped the bullets at the protest site. I mean, the one mentioned by the lady who testified at the judicial panel, Serah Ibrahim. We discovered that the real name of the survivor is Samson Olalekan Kuyebi.
“His survival meant that he would know more of what happened at Lekki toll gate, and the military would not want this to be in the public. Efforts to get him have not been fruitful, but we will not relent,” the military source said on condition of anonymity.
